Strip wax and silicone from towels without killing microfiber performance
Your towels touch everything: sealants, wax, tire dressing, polish, glass cleaner, and body oils. After a few cycles, they stop absorbing, start smearing glass, and stink even when they look clean. That means rewashes, callbacks, and prematurely junking expensive microfiber. Retail detergents and scented pods only mask odor and leave softeners that make hydrophobic towels even more hydrophobic.
TowelRenew solves the load you dread. Its solvent-boosted surfactant system breaks wax, silicone, polishing residue, and body oils, then rinses clean without fabric softeners, optical brighteners, or fillers that kill absorbency. It’s low-foaming for high-efficiency and OPL machines, buffered to work in hard water, and stable at 120-140°F to open fibers and purge contaminants without melting or matting the pile. Odor is neutralized at the source, not perfumed over.
Formulated and blended in Pampa, Texas, inside our 30,000 sq ft plant with nearly 40 years of formulation experience. Every batch is QC-checked and lot-traceable. Offer it as your brand with our private-label program - your label, your SDS, your sales story - in 1 gal jugs, 5 gal pails, or 55 gal drums. Consistent supply, factory-direct.
- Solvent-boosted system strips wax and silicone without collapsing microfiber pile
- Low-foam, HE-compatible formula rinses fast and clean in commercial machines
- Chelated for hard water performance; no softeners or optical brighteners
- Odor neutralization at the source; no fragrances needed to cover problems
- Concentrated to lower cost-per-load and reduce rewash rates
Sorting and prep: Separate microfiber towels by soil level and color. Shake out heavy debris. Avoid mixing microfiber with cotton shop rags soaked in petroleum products.
Dosage (commercial/OPL washers): Use 4-6 oz per 20 lb load for routine soils. For heavy wax, silicone, and polish residue, use 8-10 oz per 20 lb load. For smaller drums (~10 lb), use 2-4 oz. HE machines may require slightly less; verify cleaning and adjust.
Pre-soak option: For severely loaded towels, dissolve 1 oz per gallon of warm water and soak 20-30 minutes, then launder as above.
Temperature and cycles: Wash at 120-140°F to open fibers and release contaminants. Select a high-extract spin. Run an extra rinse when towels were exposed to silicone or tire dressing.
Drying and compatibility: Tumble dry low heat under 130°F or air dry. Do not use fabric softeners or dryer sheets. Avoid chlorine bleach. Compatible with microfiber (polyester/polyamide), glass towels, and cotton blends. Test dyed towels for colorfastness if uncertain.
- Odor eliminated in a single wash cycle on previously musty towels
- Noticeably improved absorbency; faster wipe-off and less water beading
- Reduced rewash rates by 20-30% on high-soil towel loads
- Cleaner glass results with fewer smears from silicone carryover
- Longer towel life due to less matting and fiber collapse
