Strip oxides and salts fast while protecting aluminum, copper, and brass.
Oxides, salt bloom, and urine scale don’t care about schedules. They stain fleets, streak facades, and put coatings at risk. Abrasives are slow, inconsistent, and chew up margins. Operators need a cleaner that bites into contamination, not base metal - something predictable in the field that rinses clean and doesn’t leave chloride behind.
SaraWest Metal Oxide Wash is an inhibited acidic system built for soft metals. Chelators lift salts, acids break oxides, and wetting agents drive it into pores. It attacks what you want gone and stops before it scars aluminum, copper, or brass. Low foam for spray and brush work, fast rinse-off, and no sticky residues that trap dirt or weaken primers.
Formulated and batched in our 30,000 sq ft facility in Pampa, Texas, this blend reflects nearly 40 years of surface chemistry. We run tight QC, document every lot, and can white-label it under your brand with your packaging, label, and spec sheet. Get the same Texas-made formulation consistency your crew can trust, without distributor markup or mystery sourcing.
- Inhibited acid system targets oxides without biting into soft metals.
- Chelator package binds salts to reduce post-clean chloride residue.
- Low-foam, fast-rinse formula speeds spray, brush, or dip operations.
- Non-fuming profile reduces irritation versus harsh mineral acids.
- Works in cool conditions; effective from 40°F to 120°F application.
- Consistent, lot-tracked batches for repeatable field performance.
Pre-rinse surface to remove loose soil. Apply by low-pressure sprayer, foam applicator, brush, or dip. For heavy oxides and urine scale, dilute 1:3 to 1:8 with water. For moderate staining and salt bloom, dilute 1:10 to 1:20. Always test a small, inconspicuous area for compatibility and desired brightness.
Apply from the bottom up to avoid streaking. Allow 1–5 minutes dwell; do not let dry. Agitate with a soft brush on stubborn deposits. Maintain solution temperature between 40°F and 120°F. Rinse thoroughly with high-volume water until runoff is clear. For coating prep, follow with a mild alkaline wash or fresh-water rinse to neutralize residues, then dry before painting.
Use on aluminum, copper, brass, and bronze. Avoid use on zinc, magnesium, or uncoated carbon steel. For anodized or coated metals, spot test first. Do not mix with bleach or chlorinated products. Wear appropriate PPE and follow the SDS.
- Up to 95% reduction of visible oxides after a single application.
- Surface chloride levels pass common field swab tests for coating prep.
- Rinse-off time under 3 minutes per 100 sq ft at proper dwell.
- Noticeable brightness recovery on aluminum and brass without pitting.
- 30–50% less labor versus manual abrasion on comparable soils.
