- 01Tunnel operators on 10-30 gpg hardness
- 02In-bay automatics on well water
- 03Fleet wash contractors using portable tanks
Stop spots and scale before they start, even on brutal well water.
Hard water quietly drains margins. Calcium and magnesium load your bay with spots, collapse foam, slow rinsing, and cake nozzles and heat exchangers. You burn hours descaling, overfeed chemistry to compensate, and still chase complaints on black paint. If your site pulls from a well or a swingy municipal blend, consistency is even harder.
SaraWest HardWater Control is a concentrated hardness control additive built for car wash alkalinity and sheeting rinses. A balanced chelant and threshold inhibitor package binds Ca/Mg/Fe, keeps minerals in solution, and stabilizes surfactant performance. Feed it into presoak, high-pressure soap, rinse arches, or RO feed to prevent scale upstream. Low-foam, salt-tolerant, and pH-flexible, it sharpens cleaning, speeds rinsing, and protects equipment without fighting your other chemistries.
We blend in Pampa, Texas, in a 30,000 sq ft plant with nearly 40 years of formulation behind it. Every batch is QC-checked for active content and sequestration capacity. Ship it with your brand on the label, or let us tune the package to your local water profile. Private label or contract, drums to totes - factory-direct and built to work.
- Balanced chelant and inhibitor system for Ca, Mg, and trace iron control.
- Reduces mineral spotting without dulling polymers, waxes, or drying agents.
- Optimized for car wash alkalinity; low-foam and proportioner friendly.
- Performs across 10-30 gpg hardness and variable municipal blends.
- Protects tips, heat exchangers, and RO from scale with lower acid use.
General feed: Meter 2-6 fl oz per 10 gal of make-up water supplying presoak or high-pressure soap (about 1:640-1:213). Start low; increase until spotting is controlled under current hardness.
Final rinse: Set injector to 1:500-1:200 into the proportioner feed. Rinse is contact-only; no dwell required. Adjust for seasonal hardness swings.
RO or reclaim makeup: Dose 1-2 fl oz per 100 gal of feed water to reduce upstream scale and stabilize membranes.
Temperature and compatibility: Effective from 40-150°F. Compatible with anionic and nonionic detergents, drying agents, and polymer sealants. Do not premix neat with cationic quats; use separate pickup lines and inject points.
- 40-70% reduction in visible spotting on dark vehicle panels
- 25-50% fewer acid descaling cycles on arches and equipment
- 10-20% faster rinse cycles at the same pressure and flow
- 5-15% lower detergent feed to achieve target foam and break
- Fewer clogged tips and injectors during high-hardness seasons
