Cut urban grime and oxides from masonry fast, without scarring the stone.
Soot, brake dust, oxides, and hard mineral crust don’t move with soap and optimism. Facades stay gray, crews crank up pressure, and soft brick pays the price. Polished granite flashes, mortar joints bloom, and the job drags into a second visit. You’re managing risk, water, and time - none of which get better when you’re blasting instead of dissolving the deposit that actually causes the stain.
SaraWest Brick and Granite Acid Wash is a buffered, inhibited mineral-acid system built for masonry. It targets iron oxides, inorganic scale, and stubborn urban carbon while protecting polished granite and sound mortar. Low-fume inhibitors and penetrants carry the chemistry deep, break the bond, and let you rinse at lower pressure. It wets out evenly, doesn’t flash-dry, and rinses clean - no sticky surfactant film that pulls dirt back.
Made in Pampa, Texas, in our 30,000 sq ft facility, every batch is QC-verified and traceable. We private-label to your spec - labels, SDS/TDS with your brand, pack sizes from job-site jugs to drums and totes, and custom strengths for your region or method. Factory-direct means consistent chemistry, predictable lead times, and margin you don’t hand to a middleman.
- Inhibited acid system attacks oxides without etching polished granite surfaces.
- Deep-wetting surfactants lift urban carbon and soot from porous brick.
- Buffered, low-fume profile reduces harsh muriatic vapor and crew exposure.
- Rinses clean with minimal pressure; no residue that accelerates re-soiling.
- Contractor-strength concentrate you can tune from heavy restoration to maintenance.
PPE required: acid-resistant gloves, goggles/face shield, boots, and protective clothing. Protect vegetation, metals, and glass. Pre-wet adjacent surfaces. Test a small inconspicuous area first.
Dilution: Heavy oxides/urban grime 1:2–1:4 with water. Moderate soiling 1:5–1:8. Maintenance 1:10–1:15. Always add product to water. Apply by low-pressure acid-resistant sprayer or brush from bottom up to control runs. Keep the surface uniformly wet; do not allow to dry.
Dwell: 3–10 minutes depending on soil load and temperature. Agitate as needed with an acid-resistant brush. Do not exceed dwell if surface begins to lighten rapidly or fizz excessively. Ideal surface temperature: 40–90°F. Work in shade or cool hot substrates with water.
Rinse: Neutralize with an alkaline cleaner (1–2% solution) or soda wash, then rinse thoroughly with water at 600–1,000 psi until runoff pH is 6–8. Repeat application for persistent deposits.
Do not use on limestone, marble, travertine, terrazzo, or other acid-sensitive stone. Avoid aluminum, zinc, and anodized finishes. Mask glass and polished metals; immediate rinse if contact occurs.
- Covers 150–250 sq ft per gallon, depending on porosity and soil load.
- Most atmospheric soiling clears in 1 pass; heavy oxides in 1–2 passes.
- Effective dwell in 3–10 minutes without high-pressure blasting.
- Rinse pressures typically reduced to below 1,000 psi on masonry.
- Post-rinse surface pH stabilizes near 6–8 after alkaline neutralization.
Factory-direct from Pampa, TX eliminates distributor markup and the guesswork of rebottled acids. You get an inhibited, buffered system built for masonry - not generic muriatic - backed by formulation depth earned over four decades. We control raw materials, batch specs, and QC, so performance is consistent job to job. Private-label options let you own the brand and the margin while we build what’s inside.
