Thick gel that stops ink runs and pulls dye out of porous surfaces.
Markers don’t care about gravity. They bleed into brick, seep into block, and ghost on painted metal. Liquids flash off or run down the wall, leaving you chasing drips, wasting labor, and still seeing faint lines when you’re done. On verticals, you need control and dwell time, not a puddle at your boots.
Hawk Marker Gel answers with a thickened solvent–surfactant system that clings where you put it. The gel holds on vertical and overhead surfaces, slow-releasing active chemistry to break down alcohol-, xylene-, and dye-based inks. It penetrates porous masonry to lift ghosting and stays workable long enough to agitate and reapply without flooding the area. Use it on brick, block, tile, painted metals, glass, and many plastics where typical liquids run off before they work.
Formulated and batched in Pampa, Texas, we control viscosity, solvent balance, and consistency from tank to pail. That means predictable performance job after job. Available for white label with your brand, your spec, and your packaging in 33.8 oz, 1.3 gal, and 5 gal. If you need a private formula tweak for a niche substrate, our 40-year bench can build it and back it with production at our 30,000 sq ft facility.
- Thickened matrix clings on verticals, extending dwell without running or sagging.
- Solvent blend targets alcohol-, xylene-, and dye-based markers and inks.
- Penetrates porous masonry to release ghost stains liquids typically leave behind.
- Low run-off reduces waste, cleanup time, and environmental tracking on site.
- Controlled evaporation provides longer working time in warm, dry conditions.
- Wipe or rinse removal integrates with towels, pads, or pressure washing.
Use PPE appropriate for solvents. Test in an inconspicuous spot.
Apply Hawk Marker Gel undiluted. For vertical surfaces, start at the bottom and work up to control any minor slumps. Lay a uniform film with a brush, foam roller, or squeeze bottle and spreader. Target 10–20 mils thickness to prevent premature drying.
Allow 5–15 minutes dwell depending on ink type, substrate, and temperature. Do not let the gel dry; re-wet with additional gel if needed. Agitate with a nylon brush or white pad to break the stain. On non-porous surfaces, wipe lifted ink with shop towels and repeat if required. On porous masonry, rinse with water; pressure washing at 800–1,500 psi improves pull-out of ghosting.
Performance improves with warm water rinses; up to 140°F is acceptable. Ideal ambient and surface temperature range is 45–95°F. Avoid direct sun or hot substrates that accelerate evaporation. For sensitive plastics such as acrylic or polycarbonate, limit dwell to 1–3 minutes and test first. Always neutralize and rinse residue per site requirements.
- Achieves 5–15 minute vertical dwell without running when applied at 10–20 mils.
- Removes fresh marker ink in 1–2 passes on non-porous substrates.
- Clears masonry ghosting after 1–3 gel cycles with agitation and rinse.
- Reduces cleanup water use by minimizing run-off versus liquid removers.
- Confines treatment area to within 2 inches beyond stain edges.
Factory-direct means you buy proven chemistry, not layers of distributor markup. We build thickened solvent systems that actually cling and pull dye, then ship them straight from our Pampa, Texas plant. You get consistent viscosity, consistent solvency, and documentation with every batch. No guesswork, no relabeled mystery blend. White-label and private formulations are developed, tested, and produced under one roof, so changes stick and timelines hold.
