Permanent anti-graffiti armor for smooth transit metals. Clean tags without repainting.

Graffiti on buses, rail cars, kiosks, and street fixtures burns labor, chemicals, and uptime. Crews strip tags, stain the paint, then repaint, only to repeat the cycle next week. Every pass risks gloss loss, corrosion exposure, and warranty questions. You need a barrier that stops paint and ink from biting into the surface and lets teams reset assets fast, without sacrificing finish.

Transit Armor Permanent Coating builds a hard, crosslinked film that spray paint and marker can’t penetrate. Its low-surface-energy chemistry releases tags under aggressive removers without softening, clouding, or chalking. Transparent and non-yellowing, it preserves OEM color and gloss while resisting UV, wash brushes, road film, salt, and de-icers. It bonds to painted metal, aluminum, and galvanized steel on trains, buses, ticket machines, and other smooth substrates.

Formulated and filled in our 30,000 sq ft plant in Pampa, Texas, Transit Armor is backed by nearly 40 years of formulation and batch QC. We white-label to your spec with matched gloss, labels, and documentation that meets procurement and regulatory requirements. Consistent lots, dependable lead times, and private-label options let you standardize across fleets and put your brand on proven chemistry.

    • Solvent- and UV-resistant film tolerates aggressive graffiti removers repeatedly.
    • Bonds to painted metal, aluminum, and galvanized steel without priming steps.
    • Low surface energy finish releases spray paint, markers, and stickers.
    • Transparent, non-yellowing protection that preserves OEM color and gloss.
    • Installer-friendly viscosity for HVLP, airless, or foam roller applications.
    • Fleet-grade durability against wash brushes, road film, salt, and de-icers.

Surface prep: Remove existing graffiti, oxidation, wax, and silicone. Clean and degrease thoroughly. Repair damaged paint. Lightly scuff glossy finishes for mechanical key, then wipe clean and dry. Mask adjacent areas.

Application: Apply as supplied; do not dilute. Use HVLP, conventional, or airless spray for best finish; a foam roller or pad works for small parts. Lay two thin, even coats with crosshatch technique. Typical coverage is 250–350 sq ft per gallon per coat on smooth metal. Recoat when tack-free, generally 30–60 minutes at 70°F.

Conditions: Apply between 50–95°F with relative humidity below 85 percent. Avoid application in direct sun or on hot surfaces. Allow coated parts to remain dry and clean during cure.

Cure and return to service: Dust-free in about 1 hour; handle in 8–12 hours. Full chemical resistance develops in 5–7 days at 70°F. Do not use strong solvents on the film until fully cured.

Graffiti removal: Use approved alkaline or solvent graffiti removers and non-abrasive pads. Wipe, then rinse with water. No sacrificial layers or re-waxing required.

    • 50–80% faster graffiti removal versus uncoated paint surfaces
    • 3–5x fewer repaint events per asset annually
    • Up to 60% reduction in solvent use during cleanups
    • Gloss retention within ±5 GU after 100+ cleaning cycles
    • 30–50% less cleaning labor time across tagged assets

Buying factory-direct eliminates layered distributor markup and guesswork. We formulate, blend, and fill in Pampa, Texas, so you get technical depth, consistent lots, and short, predictable lead times. Our anti-graffiti chemistry is engineered for repeated solvent exposure and real transit abuse, not showroom claims. With private-label options, documentation, and QC baked in, you control the spec, the label, and the margin - without compromising performance.
