Pre-test in an inconspicuous spot. Wear gloves and eye protection. Remove loose ash and dry soot with HEPA vacuum or dry sponge before wet cleaning.
Dilution: Light smoke film on nonporous surfaces: 1:20 with water. Moderate/greasy soot: 1:10. Heavy, polymerized soot: 1:4; use product undiluted only for stubborn spots. Apply by pump sprayer, sponge, or floor machine. Allow 3–5 minutes dwell; do not let it dry. Agitate with a soft brush or non-scratch pad.
Rinse thoroughly with clean water until runoff is clear. For exteriors or masonry, apply low-pressure soap then rinse 1,000–1,500 psi, wide fan tip. Works in cold water; warm water may increase speed. Optimal surface temperature: 50–100°F. Avoid unsealed wood and acid-sensitive stone; always pre-test coated metals and flat paint.
