Stop brush-scrubbing bugs. Let a hot-weather presoak do the heavy lifting.
Summer highways bake protein and sugars onto front ends. In southern markets, bug season clogs prep lanes, slows tunnels, and spikes rewash rates. Crews waste minutes on bumpers and mirrors, scrubbing while the queue grows. High-pH brews that flash-dry in heat leave film, spot in hard water, and make the main detergent work harder.
BugMelt Pre Treatment was built for that mess. It’s a high-wetting, alkaline presoak with targeted solvency to penetrate and release bug residue fast. The blend clings to vertical panels, holds moisture in hot weather, and rinses clean so friction or touchless steps can finish the job. Sequestrants control hard water, so foaming stays even and equipment doesn’t scale. Safe on OEM paint, chrome, plastic, and glass when used as directed.
Formulated and batched in our 30,000 sq ft Pampa, Texas plant, BugMelt reflects four decades of field-driven chemistry. We run tight QC so drums match from load to load. Need your label? We private-label with your brand, and can tune color, scent, and viscosity targets to fit your program and market.
- Hot-weather dwell stability keeps panels wet and working, not chalky.
- High-wetting surfactants cling to vertical surfaces for longer contact time.
- Protein-targeting alkalinity breaks baked residues and reduces brush passes.
- Hard-water conditioned to minimize spotting and scale in equipment.
- Rinses clean so the main detergent doesn’t fight leftover film.
- Works in tunnel, in-bay, self-serve, and mobile fleet wash setups.
Application: Apply to cool surfaces using low-pressure sprayer, foamer, or arch. Target front bumpers, grills, mirrors, windshields, and leading panels. Do not allow to dry on the surface.
Dilution: Heavy contamination start 1:1 to 1:4 with water. Normal conditions 1:8 to 1:16. Inline tunnel injection 64:1 to 128:1 depending on water quality and season. Foam brush buckets: 2-4 oz per gallon.
Dwell/Process: Allow 30-90 seconds of dwell. Agitate stubborn areas if needed. Keep panels wet; reapply fine mist if conditions are hot or windy. Follow with a high-pressure rinse, then your main detergent and friction or touchless cycle.
Temperature/Compatibility: Best applied below 120°F surface temperature. Safe on OEM paint, chrome, glass, and most plastics when diluted as directed. On bare or polished aluminum, use 1:16 or weaker and rinse promptly. Test on wraps, matte finishes, and fresh paint.
- Reduce front-end prep time per vehicle by 30-50%
- Cut bug-related rewashes 15-30% during peak season
- Lower main wash detergent use by 10-20%
- Increase tunnel throughput by 5-12 vehicles per hour
- Reduce manual scrubbing by 1-3 minutes per car
Factory-direct means your budget buys chemistry, not layers of markup. We formulate, batch, and ship from Pampa, Texas, so lead times are tight and consistency is controlled. With four decades of formulation depth, we tune wetting, solvency, and hard-water tolerance for real tunnel conditions. No guesswork, no relabeled commodity - just a presoak that frees crews and keeps cars moving.
