One-coat, breathable anti-graffiti shield for porous concrete and masonry.
Tags keep coming back. Multi-coat systems tie up lanes and crews, slow traffic reopening, and still leave shadowing on porous concrete and brick. City maintenance, DOT, and transit teams need a faster way to lock down underpasses, tunnels, and retaining walls without changing the look of the surface or scheduling return trips for recoats.
Tunnel Shield One Coat was built for that workflow. Our silane/siloxane backbone penetrates mineral substrates and crosslinks into a breathable network, while a fluorochemical release phase keeps paints and markers from anchoring. It sprays in a single pass, dries fast, and leaves a matte, near-invisible finish that won’t yellow. After cure, crews can remove fresh tags with hot water or a mild alkaline wash - no harsh strippers - and the barrier holds up to repeated cleanings.
Formulated and manufactured in Pampa, Texas, in our 30,000 sq ft facility, Tunnel Shield One Coat is backed by nearly 40 years of formulation experience and batch-level QC. We supply contractor pails and 55-gal drums, or put it in your brand with private-label packaging, artwork, and spec alignment. Consistent chemistry, dependable lead times, and factory-direct support - no distributor runaround.
- True single-coat protection cuts closures and labor hours per site.
- Breathable, matte finish preserves substrate appearance without darkening.
- Fast cure; return-to-service same day under normal temperatures.
- Withstands repeated cleanings without shadowing or recoating.
- Engineered for porous concrete, brick, block, and natural stone.
- Hot-water release reduces solvent use and cleanup time.
Surface must be clean, dry, and free of sealers, oils, and laitance. Mask adjacent metals and glass. Recommended equipment: low-pressure sprayer or airless (0.017–0.021 in tip). Do not dilute. Apply to porous substrates until uniformly saturated, avoiding runs and puddles; back-roll to even out absorption as needed. Target coverage 150–250 sq ft/gal on porous concrete and brick; 250–350 sq ft/gal on denser masonry.
Apply when surface and ambient temperatures are between 40–95°F and rising. Avoid application if rain or washdown is expected within 4–6 hours. Typical dry-to-touch is 30–60 minutes; allow 24 hours for full cure before graffiti removal operations. One uniform coat is standard; on highly absorptive substrates, a second wet-on-wet pass may be used to achieve refusal without forming a surface film.
Graffiti removal: After cure, remove tags using hot water (150–180°F) at low to moderate pressure and a mild alkaline cleaner if needed. Rinse thoroughly. Avoid aggressive solvents or abrasive blasting that can damage the substrate. Cleanup: soap and water while wet; use appropriate solvent if cured material contacts tools.
- 30–50% reduction in application time versus multi-coat systems.
- Return-to-service within the same workday under typical conditions.
- 150–350 sq ft/gal coverage depending on substrate porosity.
- Graffiti removal in under 10 minutes using hot water and mild cleaner.
- Withstands 10+ clean cycles without noticeable shadowing.
- Cuts solvent use for removals by 60% or more.
Factory-direct means you’re not paying distributor markup or waiting on someone else’s inventory. We formulate and manufacture in Pampa, Texas, so you get tight quality control, proven performance, and lead times you can schedule around. Our bench chemists tune film build, penetration, and release properties for porous substrates, then back it with documentation and batch traceability.
